Sugar Pie Pink Lotus is pure pink perfection with multiple, large, sweet-pink blooms throughout the growing season. What an absolute delight in your pond or on your patio or in pots around your pool! HEAVY BLOOMER! EARLY BLOOMER!
Plant this delightful specimen in a wide (24-48 inches or wider) container, using heavy loam soil. Dig a shallow trench in the soil and place your lotus tuber in the trench, being careful not to break or damage the growth tips. Gently cover the tuber with soil leaving the growth tips exposed. Add a few inches of water above the soil and place in a sunny location outdoors where the lotus tuber will receive at least 8+ hours of sunlight daily. In a week or two you will have coin leaves on the surface of the water. DO NOT fertilize until you have aerial leaves growing out of the water.
Fertilize with 4-6 fertilizer tabbs throughout the growing season (June through September). Simply press the fertilizer tabbs near the roots of the lotus, taking care not to damage the roots. We recommend Waterlily World Fertilizer Tabbs + Humates for optimum growth, best bloom and ease of use! Your lotus should grow and bloom the very first year!
