Lotus Plant Description
Ancient Chinese Lotus is a stunning, lavender-pink. The wide, flat petals on the large, showy lotus flowers look as though they have been hand painted with delicate striping detail, which gives this lotus a rich, textural look. The base of the petals are a lighter shade of pink while the petal tips are edged in rosy- pink. Yellow receptacles with creamy-white anthers are a nice contrast and add interest to this splendid lotus plant. The color on Ancient Chinese Lotus flowers, a classic, single-petal lotus, is simply divine and BLOOMS EARLY!
Lotus Planting Instructions
Plant your lotus in a wide, shallow container (18 to 30 inches or wider) using heavy loam soil. Dig a trench on the surface of the soil and place your lotus tuber in the trench, being careful not to damage the growth tips. Gently cover the lotus tuber with soil, leaving the growth tips exposed. Add a few inches of water over the soil and place your lotus container where it will receive eight to twelve hours or more of direct sunlight outdoors.
