How to plant your lotus
Plant in wide, shallow container in heavy loam soil with 2-4" of water over surface of pot. Place lotus in a sunny location outdoors. Lotus need 8+ hours of sunlight to grow and bloom. Always replace water that has evaporated from your lotus container!
How and When to fertilize your lotus
Fertilize once you have two standing leaves growing out of the water. Fertilize with slow release fertilizer tabs monthly throughout the growing/blooming season, June through September, making the last fertilizer application in September. We recommend Waterlily World Fertilizer Tabs for best bloom, optimum growth and ease of use. Simply press the tabs into the soil near the roots of your lotus plants, taking care not to damage the roots.
