Lotus Plant Description

Pee Bee Pink Lotus, also known as Peebee Pink Lotus, is a delightful little gem from hybridizer and friend, Paula Biles. Pee Bee Pink Lotus is a cross between White Crane Lotus and Little Red Missing Lotus. Pee Bee Pink Lotus has small, rich-pink lotus flowers throughout the season on this small lotus specimen. Peebee Pink Lotus may also be grown as a Micro-Lotus when planted in smaller containers!

Lotus Planting Instructions

Plant your lotus tuber in a wide, shallow, no holes container (11 - 16 inches wide) using loam soil. Dig a shallow trench across the surface of the soil and place your lotus tuber in the trench, taking care not to break or damage the growth tips. Cover all but the growth tips with soil, leaving the growth tips exposed.Gently add an inch of water above the soil. Place your lotus container in a sunny area (8 - 12 hours of sunlight daily) outdoors. Do not fertilize until you have aerial leaves growing out of the water.

Lotus Fertilizing Instructions

Fertilize your lotus plant with a slow release fertilizer like 'Waterlily World Fertilizer Tabs'. We recommend them for optimum growth, best bloom and ease of use. Simply press the fertilizer tabs into the soil near the lotus roots, taking care not to damage the roots. Fertilize from June through September, making your last fertilizer application in early September.

See our 'Complete Lotus Guide' included with your lotus purchase.
