Hope Lotus has intricate, pale-yellow blooms with twisting petals, yellow stamens and yellow-green receptacles.  Hope Lotus has airy blooms that look delicate and delightful! Add this dainty specimen to your water garden feature for an unusual touch! Blooms on the Hope Lotus contrast well against the dark green leaves. Although classified as a 'White' lotus, the color is actually a pale-yellow.The larger the container you use, the taller this little lotus will grow. Plant  your sacred lotus tuber in a wide, shallow container using heavy loam soil. Dig a trench in the soil and place the lotus tuber in the trench being careful not to break or damage the growth tips. Cover the tuber with soil while keeping the growth tips exposed. Add a couple of inches of water above the soil and place lotus container in full sun. (lotus need 8+ hours of sunlight to grow and bloom) In a week or two you should have coin leaves on the surface of the water. A week or two after that you should have aerial leaves growing out of the water. Once you have aerial leaves it is time to fertilize your lotus plant.

Lotus Fertilizing Instructions

Lotus plants are very heavy feeders. Feed your lotus once a month with Waterlily World Fertilizer Tabs + Humates. Feed your lotus plants throughout the growing/blooming season (June through September). Your sacred lotus plant should grow and bloom the very first year!

Please see our 'Complete Lotus Guide' included with your lotus purchase!
