High Noon Lotus has lovely, light-yellow, single -petal flowers with a sunny-yellow receptacle and a fringe of pale-yellow anthers surrounding the receptacle. Beautiful in its' simplicity with flying/dancing form that add interest to this single, yellow bloom. Delicate yellow color adds beauty and serenity to a sunny area of your water garden. Plant in wide, shallow containers or in the shallow end of your pond, plant in heavy loam soil in wide, shallow containers (16-30 inches wide) with a few inches of water over the soil. Place your lotus container in a sunny location outdoors. In a week or ten days, you should have coin leaves on the surface of the water, a week or so after that you should have aerial leaves growing out of the water. Once you have aerial leaves, it is time to fertilize your lotus.
Fertilize monthly with fertilizer tabbs throughout the growing/blooming season. (June through September) Simply press the fertilizer tabbs into the soil near the roots of your lotus being careful not to damage the roots. Your lotus should grow and bloom the very first year!
