Blushing Bride (formerly known as 'Emilia' Lotus) has BREATHTAKING, ethereal blooms in shades of heavenly pink with creamy-white anthers and sunny-yellow receptacles. This sunny-pink flower has flat outer petals and ruffled inner petals, creating a magnificent bloom!
Plant your lotus tuber in heavy loam soil using a large, wide (24-48 inches or wider) no holes container. Once you have added heavy loam soil to your container, dig a trench across the surface of the soil and gently place your lotus tuber in the trench being careful not to damage the growth tips. Pull some soil over the tuber but leave the growth tips exposed. Gently add 4-6 inches of water over the soil and place your container in a location where it will receive 8+ hours of sunlight each day. DO NOT FERTILIZE! In a week or two you will have coin leaves growing on the surface of the water, once you have aerial leaves growing out of the water you may fertilize your lotus by pushing 4-6 fertilizer Waterlily World Fertilizer Tabbs Plus Humates into the soil around the soil, being careful not to damage the lotus roots.
