Ruijin Lotus
Rosy-Red Splendor

Sold Out $ 53.00

Chinese Red Ruijin Lotus is beautiful with magnificent, rosy-red multi-petal blooms with wide outer petals which frame the shorter, inner petals nicely. The shades of red on this lotus are much softer than the other red lotus in Mr. Ding's City Series Lotus. Chinese Red Ruijin adds an elegant touch to your water garden setting. Chinese Red Ruijin is beautiful in wide containers on your terrace or balcony.

How To Plant Your Lotus

Plant your tall lotus in wide containers (24 inches wide, or wider) using loam soil. Add 4 - 6 inches of water above the soil and place in full sun where your lotus will receive at least 8 - 10 hours of sunlight daily. Do not fertilize your ltus until you have aerial leaves growing out of the water.

How And When To Fertilize Your Lotus

It is important to wait until your lotus has aerial leaves growing out of the water before you fertilize your lotus. Once you have aerial leaves, you may fertilize with 1/2 the recommended dosage of fertilizer. After your initial fertilizer application, it is important that you fertilize your lotus every three weeks throughout the growing/blooming season. Make your last fertilizer application in early September to allow your lotus to go into dormancy naturally.

Lotus are very heavy feeders! We recommend Waterlily World Fertilizer Tabs for optimum growth and best bloom.
