Lotus Planting Instructions

Plant in a wide, shallow container in heavy loam soil and 2 - 4 inches of water over top of pot, place in full sun and fertilize monthly with fertilizer tabs once you have two aerial leaves standing out of the water.

Lotus Fertilizing Instructions

Fertilize your lotus plants once you have aerial leaves growing out of the water. We recommend Waterlily World Fertilizer Tabs for optimum growth, best lotus bloom and ease of use. Simply press the fertilizer tabs into the soil near the roots of your lotus plant, taking care not to damage the roots. Do this throughout the growing/blooming season, June through September. Administer your last dose of fertilizer in early September. This allows your lotus to go into dormancy naturally.

Please see our 'Complete Lotus Growing Guide', included in each lotus order!
