Lotus for Beginners, these are the varieties that we find easiest to grow.  Remember, we send very good instructions with each order. If you follow these instructions and are starting with a suggested variety, it is likely you will be off to a great start. 

Like pets, these plants will become familiar to you and they will react to both their environment and the way you treat them. Temperature, sun as well as  nutrition will help to determine your success. You will certainly be able to see what a lotus likes by it's positive reaction but also what it does not like (cool temperatures, too little fertilizer, too much fertilizer or fertilizing too soon). 
If planted at the right point in spring when nights are not too cool, these plants jump quickly into the season.
