Lotus Planting Instructions
Plant this beauty in a wide, shallow container using a mix of clay topsoil and loam. Dig a trench in the soil and place the lotus tuber in the trench. Be careful not to break the tuber and make sure to keep the growth tips exposed. Add a couple of inches of water above the soil and place container in a sunny location outdoors. DO NOT FERTILIZE. Soon coin leaves will appear on the surface of the water. Once aerial leaves are growing out of the water, it is time to fertilize your lotus.
Lotus Fertilizing Instructions
Once the lotus is established, you may fertilize once a month at the recommended dosage. Fertilize throughout the growing/blooming season, June through September. We recommend Waterlily World Fertilizer Tabs + Humates for optimum growth, best bloom and ease of use.
