Lotus Plant Description
Morning at Yaochi Lotus has very large, sunny-pink flowers with bright-yellow receptacles that adorn this EARLY BLOOMER! Petal tips are saturated with deeper pink color on this classic, single petal lotus. The flowers are as pretty as a summer morning sunrise on this HEAVY BLOOMING LOTUS!

Lotus Planting Instructions
Using a wide (24-48" or wider), shallow container, add heavy loam soil and dig a shallow trench in the soil where you will place your lotus tuber, being careful not to damage the growth tips. Put soil over the tuber keeping the growth tips exposed. Add a few inches of water over the soil and place in full sun (8+ hours). DO NOT FERTILIZE. After a week or two you will have coin leaves growing on the surface of the water.
Lotus Fertilizing Instructions
Once you have at least two aerial leaves growing out of the water, you may fertilize once each month with 4 - 6 Waterlily World Fertilizer tabs. Simply press the tabs into the soil near the roots of your lotus plant, taking care not to damage the roots.Lotus are very heavy feeders! Always use Waterlily World Fertilizer Tabs for vigorous growth and best bloom. This will keep you lotus in top form throughout the growing season (June through September).
