Laura Bancroft, tremendous friend and hybridizer, hybridized many of the lotus that we sell at PondLotus.com, she hybridized some of these beautiful lotus on her own, and some seedlings collected by Dr. Daike Tian, from random gardens. Listed below are just some of the magnificent lotus that she hybridized and named:

This Lotus is a very heavy bloomer,

"During the growing season I collect pods to eventually use for tallying the number of blooms. (photo below)

Instead of working today, I played with them ... so much more fun. And now I have a 2016 total for the chance cross between White Crane & Little Red Missing (the only lotus in my ponds at the time). I've named it 'PeeBee Pink'.

For 2013-2015 I grew several small pots of it outside of the pond, as it stabilized. Then this year I grew a single pot (approx 17" diameter, 8"deep) submerged in my pond. It did even better than past years, with an exceptionally high number of blooms - 60 plus 1 aborted."
