Instead of working today, I played with them ... so much more fun. And now I have a 2016 total for the chance cross between White Crane & Little Red Missing (the only lotus in my ponds at the time). I've named it 'PeeBee Pink'.
For 2013-2015 I grew several small pots of it outside of the pond, as it stabilized. Then this year I grew a single pot (approx 17" diameter, 8"deep) submerged in my pond. It did even better than past years, with an exceptionally high number of blooms - 60 plus 1 aborted."
