Lotus Plant Description
A Yellow Bird Lotus has striking yellow flowers and dark green foliage. 5' plants with very large flowers. Statuesque! Lovely oblate petals show the presence of Nelumbo lutea, the only North American lotus, in Yellow Bird's DNA. Beautiful yellow flowers display very well in contrast to the deep blue-green leaves.

Lotus Planting Instructions
Plant in very large, wide, shallow container in heavy loam soil with 6-8" of water over top of pot. Place in full sun on patio or in pond and fertilize AFTER two aerial leaves are growing out of the water.
Lotus Fertilizing Instructions
Fertilize monthly with fertilizer tabs after you have aerial leaves growing out of the water. Fertilize once each month, June through September.
