Zhongshan Red Duplicate Lotus is a remarkable lotus with flowers that have over 300 petals! Large red petaloids adorn the centers of this spectacular lotus! Zhongshan Red Duplicate Lotus does not set seed. This is a unique and unusual lotus specimen with a hint of violet-purple over the red lotus flowers.

How do I plant my lotus?
Plant your lotus tuber in a wide, shallow container using loam soil. Fill your container 2/3 full with loam soil. Dig a shallow trench across the surface of the soil. Place your lotus tuber in the trench. Cover the tuber with an inch or two of soil while leaving the growth tips exposed. Add 4 inches of water above the soil. Place in full sun outdoors (8 - 12 hours of sunlight daily).
How and when do I fertilize my lotus plant?
Do not fertilize your lotus until you have aerial leaves growing out of the water. Once you have aerial leaves, fertilize once a month, June through September. We recommend a slow release fertilizer like Waterlily World Fertilizer Tabs for optimum growth, best bloom and ease of use.
