Lush and beautiful and complemented with attractive green foliage, Yellow Peony Lotus will delight you!
Lotus Planting Instructions
Plant this beautiful specimen in a wide, shallow, no holes container using loam soil. Fill the container 2/3 full with loam soil. Dig a shallow trench across the surface of the soil. Place the lotus tuber in the trench and cover all but the growth tips with an inch of soil. Add 4 inches of water above the soil and place the lotus container in a sunny area outdoors. Lotus need 8 - 12 hours of sunlight to grow and bloom. Do not fertilize until you have aerial blooms.
Lotus Fertilizing Instructions
Once you have aerial leaves growing out of the water, you may begin to fertilize your lotus. We recommend a slow release fertilizer like Waterlily World Fertilizer Tabs for optimum growth, best bloom and ease of use. Fertilize your lotus once each month, June through September.
