Lotus Planting Instructions

Plant in a wide, shallow container using heavy loam soil and add four to six inches of water above the soil. Place in full sun(8 - 12 hours of sunlight daily).

Lotus Fertilizing Instructions

Wait until your lotus has aerial leaves to fertilize, then fertilize once a month, June through September, with fertilizer tabs.

*Please Note:

Lotus are edible tubers found in many Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese recipes. When growing lotus tubers for edible use, you must grow them in large, shallow ponds. Tubers must reach 2 - 4 inches in diameter for cooking purposes.
