Lotus Plant Description
Red At Sunset Lotus has an elegant, deep-red, cup shaped flower on this magnificent lotus plant. Rich red color on the wide petals is intense! The red petals surround a yellow receptacle along with frilly, yellow stamens, adding beauty and interest to this delightful specimen. Red At Sunset Lotus is beautiful as a container plant or at the shallow end of a pond.

Lotus Planting Instructions
Plant this lotus in a wide, shallow, no holes container using loam soil. Dig a trench in the surface of the soil and gently place your lotus tuber in the trench. Cover the tuber with an inch or two of soil, while leaving the growth tips exposed. Gently add 2 - 3 inches of water over the surface of the soil. Place in a sunny area outdoors where it will receive 8 - 12 hours of sunlight daily.
Lotus Fertilizing Instructions
Fertilize after you have two standing leaves growing up, out of the water. Fertilize monthly with fertilizer tabbs (June through September). Please see our 'Complete Lotus Guide' included with your lotus purchase!
