Magnificent Lotus has dazzling, bold, red color on the wide petals of this large, red lotus. Give this classic, single-petal beauty plenty of room to grow and bloom! The wide petals of Magnificent Lotus are drenched in red color but have a lighter, luminous color at the base of the petals. Receptacles are bright-gold and the robust, green foliage is a perfect complement for this lotus. A border of sumptuous gold fringe surrounds the center making Magnificent Lotus, absolutely MAGNIFICENT!

Lotus Planting Instructions
Plant in heavy loam soil using a large, wide, shallow container, dig a trench in the soil and place your lotus tuber in the trench. Cover the tuber with soil while keeping the growth tips of the tuber exposed. Add 4-6" of water above the soil and place in full sun. In a week or two, you will have coin leaves on the surface of the water. Once you have aerial leaves growing out of the water, fertilize monthly.
Lotus Fertilizing Instructions
We recommend Waterlily World Fertilizer Tabs+Humates. We recommend these products for vigorous growth, best bloom and ease of use. Simply press four or six fertilizer tabs into the soil near the roots of your lotus, being careful not to damage the roots. Do this once a month throughout the growing/blooming season (June through September). Your lotus should grow and bloom the very first year!
