Lotus Plant Description
Qintai Singer Lotus has luscious, peony shaped lotus flowers that are drenched in ruby-red color! This is an exciting lotus specimen with lots of razzle-dazzle! The jewel tone lotus flowers are complemented with yellow-gold receptacles and emerald-green foliage. Qintai Singer Lotus is a marvelous bloomer with multi-petaled blooms all summer long!

Lotus Planting Instructions
Plant in a wide, shallow, no holes container( 14 - 20 inches wide) using loam soil. Fill your container 2/3 full with loam soil. Dig a trench across the surface of the soil and gently place the lotus tuber in the trench. Take care not to break or damage the growth tips. Cover the tuber with an inch or two of soil while leaving the growth tips exposed. Gently add 2 - 3 inches of water above the soil and place your lotus container in a sunny area outdoors. (Lotus need 8 - 12 hours of sunlight to grow and bloom. Do not add fertilizer until you have aerial leaves growing out of the water.
Lotus Fertilizing Instructions
Once you have aerial leaves you can begin to fertilize your lotus plants. We recommend Waterlily World Fertilizer Tabs, a slow release fertilizer that can be pressed into the soil near the roots of your lotus plants, taking care not to damage the roots. Do this from June through September
