(Chinese name: Jinwu Cangjiao)
Hidden Beauty In The Gold House Lotus has wide, crisp- white petals with golden-yellow centers on this classic, single petal lotus. Outer petals may have a hint of green in the petals. Lovely in your pond, poolside or on your patio! Early Bloomer and Heavy Bloomer!
Lotus Planting Instructions
Plant this tall, sacred lotus in a wide (24-48 inch or wider), shallow container using heavy loam soil. Dig a shallow trench on the surface of the soil and place your lotus tuber in the trench and cover all but the growth tips, leaving them exposed. Be very careful not to break or damage the growth tips when planting. Gently add a few inches of water above the soil and place in a sunny location outdoors. (8+ hours of sunlight daily) DO NOT FERTILIZE! In a week or two you will have coin leaves on the surface of the water, in another week or so you will have aerial leaves growing out of the water. You may fertilize your lotus once you have aerial leaves.
Lotus Fertilizing Instructions
Fertilize monthly during the growing/blooming season (June through September) with 4-6 fertilizer tabs each month. Simply press the tabs into the soil around the roots, being careful not to damage the roots of your lotus plant. We recommend Waterlily World Fertilizer Tabs for optimum growth and best bloom!
Lotus plants are very heavy feeders, we recommend Waterlily World Fertilizer Tabs + Humates for optimum growth and best bloom!
